Besan ka Dhokla - Dhokla Khamman Recipe



You can make Spongi and soft dhokla in half an hour by this easy recipe of Khamana Dhokla. You do not have to prepare for 8 to 10 hours to make Dhokla at home. Using Fruit Salt (ENO) you can immediately make Dhokla. It is very easy to make.



 Material to make khamman Dhokla
Besan - one and half bowl
Curd - a bowl
Oil - three teaspoons
Sugar - three teaspoons
Salt - a teaspoon
Turmeric Powder - One fourth tsp
Ginger - Take juice of an inch
Fruit salt - a teaspoon
Water - a glass
Mustard seeds - one teaspoon
Green Chillies - Five to Six
Curryleaves - eight to ten


Khamman Dhokla recipe
First, filter the gram flour in a vessel. Take this gram flour in a mixing bowl. Before making the Dhokla solution, we take a cooker to cook it, and by putting a bowl inside it, the cooker will be filled with water till the bowl is sink. Let the cooker warm over medium heat. Mix the curd inside the gram flour to make the batter. Now add salt according to the taste inside it. Mix two teaspoons of sugar, one fourth teaspoon of  turmeric powder, two teaspoons of oil, ginger juice. Now, adding a little water, you will make a fine batter of all these. After this add the fruit salt. Grease the oil inside of a tin immediately and pour the prepared solution in it. Place this tin immediately on top of the bowl inside the cooker. Remove the city of cooker lid and cover the cooker. Let it cook on low flame for 20 minutes. Make the water of tempering by then.

To make the water of tempering, take oil in a frying pan and heat the oil when it is hot add mustard seeds. After this, add the curryleaves and then green chilli. When adding curryleaves, cover the pan immediately so that the oil does not flush out. Let cook the green chillies for a little while and then add water to it. After that add a little salt and two teaspoons of sugar to it. Let it cook until it gets a boil and then turn off the flame. Let it cool down.


After about 20 minutes we will open our cooker and check our Dhokla. Put a knife inside the Dhokla and see if the knife turns out clean, then the Dhokla has been cooked. Take out the tin and let it cool for four to five minutes. Reverse the tin on the plate and take out the dhokla. Cut off its pieces with a knife. Put the water of tempering on the Dhokla with the help of a spoon. The taste of Dhokals is completely amaze flavour with the tempering water. Your soft and sponge dhokla is ready.
