Ingredients of Besan Gatte ki Sabji

Ingredient for besan gatta sabji
Gram Flour(Besan) - 100 gm
Curd (Dahi) – one bowl
Garam masala - one tspn
oil –  one and half  tbspn
Salt – one tspn
Red chilli powder  - one tspn
Coriander powder -  one tspn
Turmeric powder  - half tspn
Cumin seeds, mustard seed and ajwain - one tspn
Tomato –  three of medium size
Onion – two of medium size
Garlic – 14-15 cloves
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Water as per required

Take a mixing bowl put 100 gm of besan add 1/2 tspn salt, three tspn of Curd(Dahi), one tspn of oil, ¼  tspn red chilli powder and  1/4 tspn turmeric powder. Now mix it well, then add water in small portions to knead little thick and smooth dough.  Now make small lump and roll like chapatti. Fold the Rolled chapatti like wrap roll and do same with the rest of the dough. Now put a kadhai on gas fill with water, when water get hot or boiled put those long (gatte)rolls in it and let it boiled till it gets small points or bubbles on rolls then take out from water with the help of big spoon and keep it aside to make little cool then cut then into small pieces and as per choice. make paste of onion & garlic and pyuree of tomatoes. Keep aside half onion and chopped it fine.


Now put  kadhai/pan on gas and pour one tbspn of oil when it get hot add Cumin seeds, mustard seed and ajwain . Add chopped onion and fry.  Then put the onion and garlic paste into kadhai.  Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder. Fry all these till all spices is start to leave oil. Add curd and mix well and cook while stir continuously.  Add salt and mix.  Add besan gatte and also add water according to required gravy. Finally add garam masal and left over to boil. After a boil turn off the heat and Garnish it with fresh coriander or dry mint and serve it with chapattis or parathas.
